During my winter break back home, in January 2023 I had an amazing opportunity to perform in one of the most iconic rock clubs in Belgrade, “Klub Fest Zemun” in Serbia https://www.instagram.com/klubfest/?hl=en

This is a very small venue with 150 people capacity, but almost any known rock band from Serbia started at this place. It's been around for over 30 years. The opportunity came up with a night of performances of young, non-affirmed, and unpublished rock bands to showcase their original music. I was invited to open the event with only a couple of cover songs to bring up the atmosphere, while Andrejin Krst band https://www.instagram.com/andrejin.krst/ performed their own author songs (they are a young gothic-rock style band).

First, I had a very short time to prepare 5 songs that I had to perform; secondly, I never performed on a rock stage with a live rock band, singing the songs my friends and I know and listen to so often. Only after a couple of drum hits, it felt very good, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the crowd, and my band.

The band is professional, but they also enjoyed the performance a lot, so the pace of “Somebody Told Me” was very fast, much faster than the original which we practiced just a few days before the performance. This was the last song performed before the original bands, so I had an opportunity to thank the musicians and the audience in a freestyle, improvising within the extended version of the song (me speaking in Serbian).
